We believe in a right of associate membership of the European Union; also believing that the democratic claims of the 2016 EU referendum are disputable, and that it is against human rights to deprive people of a uniquely balanced general citizenship.
Britons in Europe brings together people across the UK who continue to regard themselves as European citizens.
This reflects a strong democratic feeling, and is a basis for asserting a prescriptive right of individual and associate membership of the European Union.
We present a positive view of the EU as a focus of mutual restraint and responsibility in a broken and ungoverned world.
We organise in a coordinated network of regions, asserting a natural citizenship through cultural and environmental connections, promoting the ideal of regional identities secured within the European family.
